RODRIGO BARBOSA is a drummer, producer, arranger and composer. As a drummer, his career spans for more than 20 years in various genres such as jazz (Los Dorados, Paté de Fuá, Iraida Noriega, Zinco Big Band, Diego Maroto), pop (Kabah, Eric Rubín), cumbia (Los Askis) and rock (Alejandro Marcovich, Ugo Rodríguez). He has participated in the recording of more than 20 albums by various artists, jingles for the most important commercial companies in the country, and soundtracks for Mexican films such as Eddie Reynolds and Los Ángeles de Acero, Mexican Gangster, Amor, Dolor y Viceversa and Carmín Tropical. , as well as in popular theater orchestras such as El Violinista en el Tejado and Los Miserables. He was an arranger for the Big Band of singer and composer Carlos Silva and co-producer of the Berlin album (Lado B) as well as some songs for the pop group Sinfonic-k. His work has led him to visit various cities around the world, such as New Delhi, Goa, Kochi, Naples, Rome, London, Belfast, New York, Medellín, Guatemala, San José, Panama, among others. He is currently the producer and musical director of the singer and songwriter Hela San, who has already released an Ep (“Humana”, 2020) and an album (“La Sangre”, 2021).
