RODRIGO BARBOSA is a drummer, producer, arranger and composer. As a drummer he has a career of over 20 years in various genres such as jazz (Los Dorados, Paté de Fuá, Iraida Noriega, Zinco Big Band, Diego Maroto) pop (Kabah, Eric Rubín), cumbia (Los Askis) and rock (Alejandro Marcovich, Ugo Rodríguez). He has recorded in more than 15 albums of diverse artists, in commercial jingles for the most important Mexican companies in the country and in soundtracks for national films such as “Eddie Reynolds y Los Angeles de Acero”, “Mexican Gangster”, “Amor, Dolor y Viceversa” and “Carmín Tropical” , as well as in popular theater orchestras like “El Violinista en el Tejado” and “Les Miserables”. He is also the leader and producer of the alternative music project Leontine and musical producer of the most recent record material of the singer Álvaro Abitia. He has written arrangements for singer and composer Carlos Silva’s Big Band. His work has led him to visit several cities in the world, such as New Delhi, Goa, Kochi, Naples, Rome, London, Belfast, New York, Medellin, Guatemala, San Jose, Panama, among others. He also works as a teacher in music colleges and as private drums, music and music production teacher.
