LUCIANO SÁNCHEZ is a musician, composer, arranger and producer from Guadalajara, with studies in drums, harmony, music theory and production, as well as film and screenwriting. He has played as a drummer in projects like Tourette, Descartes a Kant, Leontine and Jaramar, recording two albums with Tourette (Punky Charms, 2008, EP 2009) and two with Jaramar (Fiestas Privadas, 2011, Sueños, 2017) to name a few, and has toured stages inside and outside the country such as: the Mella Theater in Havana, Cuba; Teatro de la Ciudad “Esperanza Iris” in CDMX, the National Center for the Arts in CDMX, Colegio de San Ildefonso in CDMX, Teatro Estatal in Mexicali, Sinaloa and Festival of the Arts and the Calderón theater in Zacatecas. He has participated as arranger, sound designer and composer for commercials, video, short films and multiple stage projects such as Nadie Nos Verá Llorar (Noé Morales, 2016), Sueños (Karen de Luna / Jaramar Soto, 2016), Las Estrellas Del Castillo (Hasam Díaz / Claudia Recinos 2017), Fata Morgana (Noé Morales, 2017) and Hans Pozo (Luis Barrales, 2007) – with which he won the prize for best sound design at the El Caminante House Theater Contest. In 2012, he started his first musical project outside of the drums: an album of his own compositions produced with the support of the PECDA grant of the Jalisco Government, named Despoblado. Since 2014 he has been part of Fosa Común, a hip hop group with which he has toured stages all over Mexico, published a couple of albums and collaborated with many important artists of the national scene. He is also a member of the alternative music bands Par Ásito and Andromorfosis.
